With a Master's degree in Cognitive Neuroscience and specialized training from the Advanced School of Artificial Intelligence at ISTC-CNR, Andrea Morelli is currently advancing his academic and professional development as a PhD candidate at Sapienza University of Rome. His research endeavors are deeply rooted in the exploration of open-ended learning mechanisms and the study of motivation within intelligent systems, particularly emphasizing their relevance in the fields of autonomous and developmental robotics. As an integral member of the research team for the PILLAR-Robots project within ISTC-CNR, Morelli contributes to the exploration and expansion of robot adaptability through open-ended learning frameworks. This work involves developing and testing models that enable robots to learn continuously and adapt to their environments autonomously.
