Alessandro Oltramari is a Senior Research Scientist at Bosch Research, working on Artificial Intelligence in the context of IoT applications. Prior to this position, he was a Research Associate at Carnegie Mellon University (2010-2016). He held a research position at the Laboratory for Applied Ontology (ISTC-CNR) in Trento (Italy) from 2000 to 2010. He was a Visiting Research Associate at Princeton University in 2005-2006. He received his Ph.D. from University of Trento in Cognitive Science, co-advised by Nicola Guarino and Prof. Liliana Albertazzi. Alessandro's primary interests are focused on integrating knowledge representation and reasoning with cognitive technologies and machine learning.
